Unwind in paradise at Paihia! Nestled in the sun-drenched Bay of Islands, Paihia offers a taste of everything this stunning region has to offer. Just a 3-hour drive north of Auckland, it’s the perfect escape for a weekend (though most visitors wish they had more time!).

History buffs will love exploring Waitangi, New Zealand’s birthplace, located right near our motel. Nature lovers will be awestruck by the 144 islands dotting the bay, creating a marine paradise with pristine beaches. Explore native Kauri forests nearby,  or hop on a passenger ferry from Paihia Wharf to the historic Russell township. Adventurers with cars can take the car ferry from Opua for further exploration.
